The Winner of Chicago's 2006 Vegetarian Restaurant of the Year Award

Home Run Inn in Chicago is a four star Italian restaurant. This is a great place. Located in the Grant Park Museum neighborhood, this very affordable restaurant has been around for the last 50 years. When you step inside the restaurant, you'll notice a family atmosphere. This restaurant features private rooms, delivery, and catering. This place is good for groups.
Home Run Inn Pizza continues to be a family owned and operated establishment with 8 restaurant locations and frozen pizza in over 20 states! The pizza is still made according to the original family recipe created in 1947 using only the highest quality ingredients. Delicious because of the one of a kind crust, perfectly balanced with a zesty tomato sauce and loaded with an abundance of cheese and toppings, nothing compares to a Home Run Inn all natural pizza. Please visit our website to see our other locations: Addison, Bellwood, Bolingbrook, Chicago-31st, Chicago Archer Ave, Darien, Melrose Park & Westmont.
The original location of this local pizza chain, this place is famous for its hand-tossed pizza (the only style offered); it hasn't changed much since the '40s. Other offerings include pastas, soups,...

The pizza here is cheap and they don't skimp on the toppings but it was so greasy that it kind of made me nauseous. I love pizza and no other pizza has ever had this effect on me.

I was born and raised in Chicago and on Chicago style pizza. I have heard many people say that they traveled to Chicago, tried the pizza and were not impressed. Why, because everyone goes downtown Chicago to either Ono's or Due's thick bready pizza. NOT real Chicago style. You have to move out of the heart of the city to find the great pizza places. Home Run Inn is one of the best, but don't count out Falco's either. Connie's pizza is also very good and Fasano's (Justice, IL.) is also note worthy, but not as good as the first two, which make their own italian sausage (fresh, not precooked), sauce, blend of cheeses and seasonings. They're great, can't be beat and nexy trip to Chicago, look em up in the yellow pages.
